Differences between present perfect and present perfect continuous tense

The present perfect tense and the present perfect continuous tense are different in that the present perfect tense is more concerned with the result of the past event in the present. But the present perfect continuous is concerned with the duration of the event to the present.

1. The telephone (ring) continuously since you left! I am not your secretary!
2. Julia (study) in primary school for six years and she graduates this month.
3. The artist (work) on the painting without interruption for two weeks, but it still doesn't look very good.
4. Your brother (talk) non-stop since he got back from school.
5. John (play) the piano since he was a boy, but he has never taken any lessons.
